RISIKO Issue 2 'KRAUTIE'

Krautrock is an experimental genre of music that emerged from West Germany in the late 60s and 70s. "Kraut" actually means cabbage or sauerkraut (pickled cabbage), but the word is also used to describe German rock music from the period. It’s often seen as music from the “golden days” and appears in rigid academic books but there’s a huge generation gap.
So honestly, isn’t this all a bit complicated?
Krautrock is loved in various countries and by musicians from many genres,
and it’s listened to by a younger generation who will be the ones creating the culture of tomorrow. That’s why we’re attempting to soften this crusty image
and broaden perspectives more freely, not only in relation to music.
This includes art, fashion, cooking, cats, nature, supermarkets, and youth.
Just by slightly shifting our point of view, we start to notice the many KRAUTIE things around us.
